The cat is put under a general anesthetic and the fur around the scrotum removed, then the skin is disinfected prior to surgery. A small incision is made in the scrotum, the testicles are removed and the associated cords tied. The procedure may not even result in the cat requiring stitches as the incision is so small, and recovery time is minimal- cats can be allowed to go home on the same day.
After bloodwork to ensure the cat is healthy enough to undergo surgery, the patient is given anesthesia. A tracheal tube is place in the windpipe to deliver oxygen & anesthesia. After the surgical site is made sterile, the surgeon makes an incision along the midline of the abdomen. Through this incision, the ovaries & the uterus are extracted after having their blood supplies being tied off. The abdomen is sutured shut, and the patient woken up from their sleep. With good pain medications on board, healing should take 10-14 days.
Spaying a cat involves putting the cat under general anesthesia and performing surgery to remove the ovaries, oviducts and uterus. This prevents her from having a heat cycle as well as preventing any kittens.
they get there balls snipped...
but if they dont get fixed in time they will start spraying aka marking there territory
around the house like my cat and it smells really bad...
The cat is sedated, the lower belly is cleaned and cut open,. The uterus and ovaries are tied off and removed. The belly is sewn back together and the cat is allowed to wake from sedation.
You don't. Take it to one of the low cost spay clinics.
Only if it is an adult female cat.
spayed
A FEMALE cat, until she is spayed or births at least one (1) litter of kittens, is called a Molly by most veterinarians and animal experts. If she is spayed or has had at least one litter of kittens, she is called a Queen. I know this question is old but 🤷🏽♀️
Estrus is the time in a female cats reproductive cycle which the female cat is receptive to the male cat. According to the question posted the cat had been spayed. If the cat has really been spayed it cannot come into estrus. If it has not actually been spayed and you just think it has, then it could come into estrus, but this is not dangerous (except she may get pregnant). Either way she will not die, or at least not of that!
Only when you get her spayed (fixed) by a veterinarian.
It is ideal for them to be spayed at 8 weeks and up to five months old, but cats can be spayed at any age.
Spayed female cats are called just that - spayed, or fixed, female cats.

Probably, if you have a female and a male and nether are spayed or neutered.
because it can't get pregnant
Male cats are neutered and female cats are spayed.
Because they have not gotten spayed yet and have mated with a male cat, who fertilized the female and then they had kittens.

Female cats get spayed. Male cats get neutered. It's the smart thing to do.
The male cat (every animal) has testicles, unless they are neutered. A neutered male cat will not have visible testicles, but there will be a noticeable space between its anus and penis. A spayed female cat looks exactly the same as an intact female as the reproductive organs that are removed when it is spayed are inside the body. A spayed female will still have a genital opening (vulva) which is often a tear-drop shape located right below the anus.
I know it is more than a male cat. I payed $65 to have Miss Kitty spayed.
