A capacitor joined with a sinusoidal voltage source will bring about a relocation current to move through it. For the situation that the voltage source is V0cos(ωt), the displacement current can be communicated as:

I = C \frac{dV}{dt} = - \omega {C}{V_\text{0}}\sin(\omega t)

At sin(ωt) = - 1, the capacitor has a most extreme (or top) current whereby I0 = ωCV0. The proportion of crest voltage to crest current is because of capacitive reactance (signified XC).

X_C = \frac{V_\text{0}}{I_\text{0}} = \frac{V_\text{0}}{\omega C V_\text{0}} = \frac{1}{\omega C}

XC methodologies zero as ω methodologies endlessness. In the event that XC approaches 0, the capacitor looks like a short wire that emphatically passes current at high frequencies. XC approaches boundlessness as ω methodologies zero. On the off chance that XC approaches unendingness, the capacitor looks like an open circuit that ineffectively passes low frequencies.

The current of the capacitor may be communicated as cosines to better contrast and the voltage of the source:

I = - {I_\text{0}}{\sin({\omega t}}) = {I_\text{0}}{\cos({\omega t} + {90^\circ})}

In this circumstance, the current is out of stage with the voltage by +π/2 radians or +90 degrees.

A; The only benefit is that twice the voltage rating of a single capacitor can handle. the disadvantage is the total capacitance is reduced by one half if equal. to insure proper operation a resistor must be added to each to stabilize the leakage current

I suspect you mean "...when capacitors are connected in series?"

If so, the total capacitance decreases. Calculate as follows:

Ctot= 1/(1/C1+1/C2+1/C3...etc)

Which Capacitor should be connected in one direction?

The electrolytic capacitor should be connected in only one direction.

What is the effect on the supply current if the capacitor removed?

It depends on how the capacitor is connected and whether the supply voltage is a.c. or d.c. Assuming you are talking about a power-factor improvement capacitor (connected in parallel with an inductive load, supplied with a.c.), then the supply current will reduce.

How a trimmer capacitor use?

A trimmer capacitor is a semi-adjustable capacitor placed across a variable tuning capacitor and pre-set to allow the main capacitor to track correctly with another variable capacitor on the same shaft. The adjustment takes out any differences introduced by the connected circuit.

What is the time constant of a 0.001 microfarad capacitor and a 15000 ohm resistor connected in series in a dc circuit?

The same as the time constant of a 2.7 microfarad capacitor and a 33 ohm resistor connected in series.

What are the two parts for a variable capacitors?

The main parts of a capacitor are:two conducting plates separated byan insulating material (called a dielectric) surrounded byfurther insulation - plastic or paper - as a protective jacket andexternal wires (connected internally to the plates) to allow the capacitor to be connected into a circuitand, on large units:a protective case made of metal or plastic andexternal terminals connected internally to the plates,to allow the capacitor to be connected into a circuit.

A polarized capacitor will be permanently damaged if connected to the incorrect polarity.

How do you wire a capacitor to an amp?

Positive post of capacitor is connected to the heavy amp cable. The ground terminal (or case) of the capacitor is connected to the car's ground or a ground wire that leads to the car's chassis. That's it.

Charged capacitor connected with transmission line?

yes.

Can a non polarized capacitor be connected to a direct current circuit?

Yes, you can connect a polarized capacitor to a direct current. Make sure you get your polarization is correct.A non polarized capacitor can be connected in a DC circuit as well. "Non Polarized" just means it does not matter which side of the capacitor is positive. If you attempt to connect a polarized capacitor in a DC circuit backwards, you will know when the capacitor explodes.
