The level of a sound is measured by... a Sound LevelMeter. (!)
The reading is in dB(A) which is short for the unwieldy "decibels re 20µPa (A)".
A 'decibel' on its own doesn't mean anything outside of its algebra - the abbreviation to just "dB" takes the context as read.
The pressure is the scale's reference-level and is that of the faintest sound the healthy human ear can detect.
The 'A' is a standard weighting toallow for the human ear's non-linear response to frequency.
A text-book or on-line reference on acoustics will explain this further and give typical Sound Pressure Levels relevant to human experience.
Barking is the sound that a dog makes as a form of communication. Dogs bark to express various emotions such as excitement, fear, or alertness, or to communicate with other dogs or people. It can also serve as a way for a dog to establish territory or hierarchy.
Barking.
None. Train your dog using commands, time and patience. These collars emit a noise that startles the animal. When a dog barks, they are immediately emitted. The theory is that the dog will learn soon the barking is bad, but most of the time, a dog will not make this connection between barking and the noise.
They named Prairie dogs barking squirrels because of their dog like noise.
For sure the young do and also alligators.
Not until your neighbors start calling the local authorities to complain - In some places it is a misdemeanor. A noise complaint.
The form of Energy a barking dog has is kinetic!
Neither. It is figure of speech that refers to the noise of a dry cough, or another loud or unpleasantly sharp vocalization.
He/She probably saw a bird. If there was nothing in the sky when he/she started barking, and he/she is in the middle of a field with nothing surrounding it, then it could be that he/she has some problems. If he/she is barking from your backyard then it might be there is a noise coming from the roof. It could a squirrel...
probably a mutated dog...
