That is 1,750 calories a week. Since a pound is equal to 3,500 calories, it would take this particular person about two weeks to lose a pound considering they did not change their diet.

depends all that you have to do is burn more calories than you consum. so if you consume 2000 calories a day and you burn 2500 then you will lose weight. just don't push you self to hard because if you get hurn then you can gain all of the fat back that you lost.

you burn about 100 calories per mile that u run at a 9:00 min pace. this changes dependding on the environment you are running on (hills, beach, etc.).

Jogging 30 minutes will burn 150 calories. Period. If you want to lose weight, you need to figure out how many calories you eat per day and how many calories you use per day. You have to lose 3500 calories to lose a pound. Now do the math... If you even out your caloric intake/loss (let's say you eat 2000 and burn 2000 every day doing what you normally do) and you add a 30 minute jog, it would take 23.3 days of jogging to directly attribute that one pound weight loss to jogging. (that's 3500 calories per pound of loss divided by 150 calories burned per day) You have to reduce your caloric intake or increase your caloric loss to really lose weight. Now let's reduce that intake to 1500 per day. That's actually 650 calories less per day. That pound would be gone in 5.4 days. And 1500 calories is not exactly dieting, either.

u will losse 3-5 lbs in 3weeks if u keep a schedule of jogging 3 times a week.atleast that's what happened in my excperience.
