Often times, Allergies that are severe do not go away. Minor allergic reactions may include rash, sneezing, and/or itching. Sometimes people grow out of these with age. However severe allergies may include swelling of the tongue, lips, throat and closure of the airway. This is LIFE THREATENING! If you can not breathe, you can not live. If you discover that you have a severe allergic reaction, call 911 right away. ALWAYS AVOID THIS FOOD!!!

It can take seconds to hours for a persons body to react to peanut butter when they are allergic to it. It all depends on how severe the allergy happens to be in the person.

Depends. If you are severely allergic, a single peanut could send you into anaphylactic shock and make your throat swell up. If you aren’t severely allergic, you might just get itchy and develop hives.

Do Muslims eat peanuts?

There is nothing in Islam that would forbid eating peanuts, but whether or not peanuts are commonly present in cooking depends on local cuisine more than Islam. In the Middle East and South Asia, there is limited if any use of peanuts in cooking. In West Africa and Southeast Asia, peanuts are used quite often and may even be the base of some stews and curries.(Of course, Muslims are just as susceptible to having allergies to peanuts as Non-Muslims, so Muslims who have allergic reactions to peanuts will not eat them.)

If you eat peanuts during your pregnancy will your baby become allergic to them when they are born?

No the baby will not become allergic to them. Actually peanuts are good to eat while your pregnant. They are nutritious for the baby. Oh yeah I forgot to tell you that try to eat pistachio nuts. They are very healthy for the baby. I read that consuming TOO MANY peanuts CAN cause later nut allergies. I'd check with my doctor. Actually eating peanuts during pregnancy has been proved to stop babies being allergic to them unless of course you eat to many I have read that some studies suggest that a mother eating peanuts while pregnant can be linked to peanut allergies in the child, but several other studies have said there is no detectable correlation. So much in this world we just don't know!
