They shouldn't move back to their original positions. The whole purpose of braces is to properly align teeth. You may be given a 'retainer' after the braces are removed; this is put on at night for a few months to make sure that the teeth stay where the braces put them.

Your teeth will move back to the way it was before you got your braces on. It's not good just wear your retainers.

You get xrays and take pictures. then pick out your retainer. Then in 1-2 weeks you have to wear a retainer if needed.

My upper teeth are a bit crowded and i asked my orthodontist to get braces and he said they will probably get straight over time but is it even possible to get straight teeth naturally over time?

Yes, teeth move all the time. This is why people get retainers after they get braces off.

Can you harm your teeth if you take off your own braces?

You could potentially harm your teeth severely if you take your braces off yourself. To take them off, your orthodontist uses a special solvent on the glue that holds your braces on. If you don't have that solvent, taking your braces off can be very painful and damaging.

What is the procedure to remove teeth braces?

To remove fixed braces they simply use a tool which cracks off the braces from your teeth, this is not harmful or painful for your teeth. Then you will have your teeth cleaned and polished to get rid of any excess glue. Then you will more than likely have some pictures taken and impressions to give a mould of how much your teeth have improved and your fittings for your retainer

That is up to your orthodondist. It also depends how long your treatment plan is and how much work your teeth needed.

What can you do if your teeth have moved years after having braces?

You have to get braces again. Yeah, bummer. Same thing happened to me. I thought once you had braces that was it. Forever. Not so. Many people find that their teeth begin to move 20, 30 + years after having their braces off. I'm 37 and had my braces off when I was around 12 or so. My teeth started moving a lot about two years ago. My dentist told me that lots of people need (what she called) "a second round of ortho." Ideally its best to have your teeth corrected before they get TOO much out of whack again. I just don't have the dental insurance for that. Braces nowadays come in clear and even removable form so you won't look like you did when you first had braces. Do a Google search on "adult braces" and you'll find plenty of articles! ~ T

How do you get rid off marks left on your teeth caused by braces?

As long as you brush your teeth while you have your braces, there will be no marks. I had no marks on my teeth when my braces were removed. Another student in my school, however, never brushed her teeth and when her braces were removed she actually had brown bands on her teeth. ~ T

What can you do to make the dentist take off your braces off faster?

you can not get your braces off faster because you need braces if your teeth are not allinged well. that means that you are going to need braces for as long as your teeth need them. that is usually for quite a while.

Can you take pictures wearing your retainer after your braces come off?

Yes. My mother didn't like it, but my teeth used to look like a sight from a horror film and I was afraid my teeth would move!
