When should an ankle support be worn after an ankle injury?

It all depends. If it was minor and your ankle is sore but not hurting, I don't think you would need to wear one. If it is actually painful but not too badly, I would wear a brace if I am going to do something active (sports, jogging, etc), but not while walking around (if you can handle it). I wouldn't wear it while walking around because you need to keep the strength up. If you are having problems walking or bearing weight, I would wear an ankle support and try to get to a doctor. I'm not trying to say tough it out, you just have to figure out where you are
