very difficult to say. sit ups are a very good choice but i think you should mix it up with cardio exercise also. i.e brisk walking/jogging/running/swimming/playing football/hockey/tennis whatever you like. I guarantee your belly will lose fat . You can also perform some abdominal exercises like crunches etc. Look at the website shapefit.com or scoobysworkshop.com It will help you a lot

you can never really take it out for more than a couple hours, as it always closes in. Ive had mine for 5 yrs and sometimes i leave it out for too long and its hard to get it back in. if your talking about the first time you take it out, it can be the next day, as long as you put it back in, in the next 10 minutes.
