How long should a person wait to get into a serious relationship after divorce?
Depends on how that person feels and believes what a relationship is. There are those who still believe a relationship is forever and if it dies, they grieve the loss as death itself and the time to start another relationship is as long as the grieving process takes. Then there's the Hollywood relationship where the serious relationship is already ongoing before the actual divorce. So it depends on the individual and his/her environment.
kind of a broad question, but I'll bite, LOL. After a divorce you should not rush into a new relationship. That might be a mistake -- you could have unresolved feelings that end up damaging a new relationship. Plus, you might get serious too fast because it feels better to be with someone than to be alone with your feelings. You also should not do anythign mean to your ex. Be the bigger person.
Sure, you can have a relationship with someone who is separated from their spouse. You can't marry that person unless he or she gets a divorce, but you can have a relationship. I think if you are separated you should wait til the divorce is final then start a new relationship in the right way! It also depends on who asked for the divorce in the first place!
How much time should a woman have to herself after a divorce before pursuing a serious relationship?
When a woman finds out the man she is in a relationship with is married but knows he is unhappy what should she do?
Should you continue to maintain your loving serious committed monogamous relationship with your boyfriend while he is in the process of a divorce?
Firstly, be sure he is actually filing for divorce. If you know for sure that he is then yes, you should stand by his side. You could be named by his wife as reasons for the divorce, but if you love each other that shouldn't matter. The divorce is what counts because that sets him free and hopefully to marry you or at least live together in harmony.
If your girlfriend does not want a serious relationship at the moment, then you need to decide what you want. If you are okay with a casual relationship then you should stay with her. But if it will only hurt you to not be in a more serious relationship, then perhaps it would be best for you to move on and find someone that wants the same things out of a relationship that you do.
