Best Answer

The initial battles of the Revolutionary War were extremely short. They were each over in minutes. All of the 5 or more battles near Lexington and Concord plus the running ambushes while the British soldiers retreated to Boston were completed in a single day.

The next major battle was the siege of Boston, which took months. The battles were in April of 1775.
