You will have to remove the long bolts that go through the motor mounts and raise the engine up and support it / brace it so it don't fall and tear a hand off. Then you will have to remove the 3 bolts that hold the mount to the engine block. Now replace the freeze plug.
undo large bolt that goes through the motor mount and take the bolt out and jack that side of the engine up and replace the mount and lower down and reinstall long bolt and do the same to the other side, very simple to do.

The front engine mount has three legs that connect to the front of the engine (on the passenger side of the car). You have to unscrew the lowest of the three mounting points done from the under side of the car - or - (with your wheels turned to the far right you can remove the plastic shield in the wheel well and with a long extension & breaker bar remove the lower mount bolt). There is a round tube spacer in between the engine block on this bolt of the engine mount that you take out, and you can remove and replace the belt with the spacer removed. It took me about 1 hr to change mine on my 98 Bonneville. You need an engine hoist (or a come-a-long wench). Hook up the hoist chain to the top of the engine and tighten slightly. unbolt the engine mounts and lift the engine far enough to clear the motor mount brackets. Replace the mounts, lower the engine, tighten the mount bolts and you're done. The Fiat Punto looks like a 4 cylinder front wheel drive. So disconnect the battery and any hoses/wires or parts that may block, snag or damage while attempting this operation. remember where they go and replace them when you're done. Haynes or Chilton Automotive books at your local auto parts store will give you step-by-step instructions.
