The seals in a brake system will dissolve if they get any petroleum product on them. the system will not last long, and could fail at any time.
Either a fuse is blown (which I doubt)both bulbs,blown(which I doubt)or the turn-signal harness that runs through the steeing column.OR the Brake Light Switch that the Brake pedal operates that is under the dash.
