I honestly don't remember exactly how many. I know it wasn't many. The '79 Pontiac 400 was left over from the previous year. All of them were put in to the T/A and if I remember correctly all of them were 4 speeds. They aren't super rare, but you don't just find them everywhere either. You might try some of the T/A forums.
The taillight of a 1979 Firebird is different from that of a 1979 Trans Am because several different models were made that year. This was to present the complete overhaul to the Trans Am that the company did that year.
turbo trans am came out in 81
7100 made
No, Honda Rebel 250 is 5 speed trans. bike. However, the 86 and 87 Rebel 450 had a 5 speed transmission with overdrive, so 6 speeds.
It was a Pontiac Trans Am, probably 1979, since that was the year the movie was made.
Zero. There is no such place as van yuns califronia.
a 350 4 speed can get to about 135 to 145 a 3 speed automatic can hit 135. Ok?That previous answer is very wrong. Well the 79 Z28 350 made only 175hp. In a four speed manuel it will do just over 120mph pushing it hard. With an auto will go no more than 115mph. This engine was a low reving and detuned and the trans was geared tight to make the best of its low power, not good for a top speed run. This was not a good year for the stock Camaro.
Trans Ams were made from 1969-2002
Trans Ams were made from 1969-2002
4 speed manual Muncie Performance Transmission. The other 84's used the 4spd performance and 4 speed Economy trans. Made in Muncie Indiana.
The Trans Am was a special type of Pontiac Firebird, which was invented by General Motors. The first Trans Am was made in 1969.
there are four of them and they are located on the inside of each wheel on the underbody of the car. they are black and are made of plastic. The Vehicle speed sensor is actually somewhere on the trans. The wheel speed sensors are located inside the wheels not on the under body of the vehicle.
