ball joints are parts of the front suspension. outside of the A-Arm
Yes drive shaft, front end searing and front ball joints (if rear wheel drive) front end ball joints for front wheel drive
Rear wheel drive have upper ball joints, front wheel drive do not. The strut takes the place of the ball joint.

Two. One on each side in the front. There are only lower ball joints on this vehicle. There are no upper ball joints - there are struts instead.

Ball joints.....One upper and one lower at each front wheel. For a total of 4.
On a 2000 Lincoln LS : The FRONT suspension is a strut type suspension , so there are ( NO ) upper ball joints
On a Ford F-150 : There are ( 4 ball joints ) * 2 upper and 2 lower on the front suspension
To do so would be a waste of money, replace the upper ball joints first, then have it aligned.
