The first black woman to wear the crown of Miss Universe twice, is Miss Botswana: Mpule Kwelogobe. She won the title once in 1990 and again in 1999. Other Miss Universe-twice winners include Miss Venezuela: Ma. Estefania Fernandez (1998 and 2009), Miss Mexico: Juliana aka Ximena Navarette (1995 and 2010), and Miss El Salvador/USA: Olivia Culpo (1991and 2012).
