There are def two bolts only. One down below one sorta on side. Clear up to 00 mine 97 has only two 98 99 00 u can use pretty much anything off a jimmy S10 and pretty much compatible with all different kinda years . Just type in year if it two door or a 4 cylinder and everything comes up. People it's not rocket science here. Been working on cars all my life. I don't think I know everything but I know enough to tare a motor apart replace every piece with new and rebuild it and make it run. Just do your homework if u don't know
If I remember correctly, my '98 (2.2l 4-cyl) alternator has two bolts.
Remove the alternator belt by loosening the tensioner pulley. Remove the wiring from the alternator. Remove the retaining bolts to the alternator. Reverse the process to install the new alternator.
2 an adjustable one on top and a longer one at the bottom of it.
Remove the positive cable from your 1997 Buick LeSabre battery. Remove the alternator belt. Remove the alternator wiring harness. Remove the alternator retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new alternator.
Disconnect the battery, and wires from alt.Remove 2 bolts from front of alt. and 1 on back and lift out.
remove positive wire from battery.remove the radiator fan, remove the alternator bolts and wiring. remove the small panel under the radiator and - tadaaah!
my ignition module for a 93 s10 was hld by two small bolts on top of the distributor. don't drop one of them into a storm drain they are not easy to buy.

disconnect neg bat terminal , remove belt , remove cables from alt. , remove bolts holding alt.
I have a 97 Ford probe and when I had to replace my alternator... I had to pulled the passenger tire off and pull the whole assembly apart so I could get the alternator.. There are 2 bolts to loosen up and pull the belt out slide the alternator down by the exhaust and pull it out by the CV axle
