Well, it depends on a few things. If you're taking long walks that are very fast-paced, then you would lose more weight than a slow and short walk. Also, you will likely not burn any weight if you have just eaten beforehand.
If you weight 131 to 155 lbs:
Slow Pace: 176
Mod. Pace/Walking a Dog: 246
If you weigh between 156 to 190 lbs:
Slow Pace: 216
Mod. Pace/Walking a Dog: 302
The more that you weigh, the more cals. you lose. The less you weigh, the less cals. you use.
depends on how long and how big the dog is,??
If a woman weighing 166 lbs. walks at a leisurely pace of 2.5 mph she will burn 113 calories in 30 minutes. 30 minutes of a moderate pace, similar to that of walking a dog, will burn 124 calories.
It's all based on how much you're doing... Running and constant everyday activities will always burn more calories then just walking every once in a while!
depends on how far you walk, are you going uphill, downhill or is it flat? if you walk on a flat area then you will not burn as much as the other two, uphill you will burn the most. all in all you will not burn a lot of calories unless you walk a pretty good distance and even a couple miles of flat land will only burn around 70 calories. a couple miles uphill could burn over 150.
Unless the dog swallowed the bones whole, nothing needs to be done. I feed my dogs raw lamb almost every day because they burn a huge amount of calories playing and walking. I have yet to see any negative effects.
