According to the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, "If you are 18 years of age or older, the employer has the right to schedule however they feel they need you. There is no minimum or maximum number of hours."

In short, there is no requirement to give you a day off at all. They can have you come in every day for six months - or six years. However, you do get overtime once you hit 40 hours in a 7-day period.

However, there are some exceptions, generally related to things out of your control. You must be given time off for jury duty, for family leave and for certain other causes. But other than that, your employer can have you work as many consecutive days as it wants to.
