Yes, it happens all the time.
Sometimes a man who is gay gets married to try and turn himself straight. He does this from the pressure from family and society to marry and carry on his family name. Sadly this never works. It usually leads to a lot of unhappiness later in life for everyone concerned.

∙ 6y agoYes. In fact, worldwide, this probably happens to the majority of gay men, because most gay men live in countries where homosexuality is either illegal or unacceptable.
Gay people hide in straight marriages for various reasons, but with more and more tolerance, this practice is on the decline in most of the western world.
Some gay people marry the opposite sex because the person is their best friend, but this uncommon.
