If you want to buy something cheap you don't go to a shop now a days you use the internet. If you want a product made cheaply you use a machine or a robot. In addition to this a lot of manufacturing jobs were lost to eastern Europe or china, the so called emerging economies. However computers can lead to problems such as mass unemployment in other words who needs something physical when I can get a job done using using something digital at a far better deal. This is why so many are losing their jobs to computers.
