proteins are not classified as viable energy as they are comprised of many many amino acids which makes them impractical to go to all the effort to break down, instead carbon chains like glucose, surcose are better forms of energy, same may be said for a few fatty acids

Protein is a resource used to make your bones,hair and some muscles grow stronger in a way this does give you more energy but protien isnt a primary source of energy
