There is no answer to this question as all makes of cars have different gas tank and gage designs, one will be bone dry while another car will still have a gallon left in the tank even though both gages read empty.
It depends upon the type of car the person is driving. I drive a 2006 Honda Accord Hybrid, so I can go quite a distance on a reserve of 2 gallons, (approx. 75 miles).
20 gallons- with 2 in reserve (when tank gauge reads empty). Plenty....! This is within a couple of tenths of a gallon; I don't have it in front of me at the moment. It is 17.6 gallons "on the gauge" and 19.4 counting 1.8 gallons "reserve" that doesn't show on the gauge (after the gauge hits empty).
That depends entirely on the vehicle and on how accurate the gauge is.
Assuming it's the ONLY gauge not working, it may be the sending unit(in the tank) or the gauge circuit(fuse) or the gauge itself... If your broke, count the miles and top off every....how many miles were in a tank? :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ according to the engine wiring schematic , 1991 to 1994 Ford Explorers have a 15 amp fuse in location # 17 for the fuel gauge (Helpfull)
None !
0 ......because its empty stupid :)
Glance at the fuel gauge? Maybe it doesn't work. You need to check your fuel mileage. Once you know that, you'll know how many miles (apx) you'll get per tank of fuel. 10 gallons of fuel at 30 miles per gallon =300 mile range before you need fuel.
It depends on how many miles per gallon of petrol your car can normally travel. The figure is so variable as it depends on many factors: state of the engine, whether the fuel gauge and carburettor are adjusted correctly. Even a strong headwind or soft tyres will burn more fuel.
30
once the light comes on you have exactly 50 miles til empty. Just be careful not to miss the first time or else there is no way of knowing.
I can't answer this positively, but on average there is 25 miles left to empty when a gas light comes on.
that depends on your foot and weather the truck is loaded or pulling. empty i get around 300. mine is short wheel base and i have the small tank
