There is no way to tell how long it will last. If you change the Transmission Fluid every 75,000 miles which is what I recommend, and do not pull any load, it can last as long as the engine will last. It may also fail with less than 100,000 miles on the odometer. No way to predict how long it will last.
Transmission problem
The transmission oil is the engine oil it also has a liquid clutch (same oil). If you have a drive shaft you should change it's oil as well but with gear oil. hope this helps

The 2013 Honda FIT-EV has a 1-speed direct drive.
Drive on a 1999 Honda Civic transmission is labeled as D4. D2 is made specifically for lower gears and to help in situations where going slower can help maneuver the vehicle.
For best service and durability, 30,000 miles is recommended.
Its either in need of transmission fluid a fluid change or the bands are strechted
depends on your speed
You have to change the tailpiece on the transmission to one from a 4x4 transmission so the transfer case will bolt to it There is probably more to it than that, depending on the transmission. Usually the output shaft of the transmission has to be changed, and that means disassembly of the entire transmission. Research the exact transmission and transfer case combination before you buy a 2 wheel drive transmission and HOPE it will fit.
no its completely different than 2 wheel drive
The transmission is the same
