Audi say 75k before they require changing but I'd do it at 65k. Don't forget that the water pump should also be changed at the same time. Makes it a bit more expensive but better that than it seizing and causing massive amounts of damage to your engine.
every 80,000k-90,000k to be safe.. had to change mine after 80,000k and was lucky pully was comming off ?
80,000 for petrol and 60,000 for diesel
60,000
how many miles before you have to change cambelt on Renault kangoo 1.5 dci van
if its the vauxhall 2.0 dte, the answer is NEVER ...the engine has a chain, not a belt!
70,000 miles
if you use on short runs to shops stop and start alot then change every 50,000 miles its cost efective compared to new engine rebuild
The average number of miles for a cheap audi A4 is 80,000 miles. This could also range from 70,000 to 90,000 miles.
Would think every 36000 miles.
I got 70,000 miles before my camshaft broke and I needed to replace the engine! This despite the fact that I never missed a scheduled service or oil change.
90k
Puegeot say change it every 100k miles but leaving it this long is probably asking for trouble, for example vauxhall originally said on cavaliers etc change cambelt every 40k miles. when the vectra came out they up'd-it to 80k but soon dropped it back down to 40k when they realised that to many belts were failing before 80k. Dont leave it to 100k.
