I don't know how long they go for but I have 268,000 miles on my 91 G20 and it still goes. I have been told that they can go over 300,000 miles no problem. I hope that this helps you.
Yeah i got a 93 Infiniti G20 and it has 230,000 miles on it and runs like a top !!
I've got a '93 G20,when I bought it,it had about 200,000 miles and it still had everything original on it! And I mean everything:spark plugs, spark plug wires, starter, oxygen sensor, distributor cap& rotor, fuel pump,I couldn't believe it! So I bought it right then, because any car that can haul like this one, with all those miles and OEM parts about fifteen years old, amazed me. Now it has 225,000 miles and shows no signs of stopping or weakening. The only parts that have gone out on this car has been: struts, ball joints, and starter. I think I can live with that!
Back to the "engine" question: Research the legendary "SR20DE" Nissan engine. Those are "overbuilt" from the factory to accommodate the turbocharger in certain car models (i.e. SR20DET). That mean the internals of the naturally-aspirated versions are "tougher than they need to be", particularly the bottom-end. Take care of it well and it will last for a very long time. Abuse it, and you will pay with very expensive repairs, especially now that the SR-engines are considered "legacy" types and parts will naturally be in shorter supply.
Nissan engines are reported to last years. There are reports of engines with as many as 220,000 miles and still running great.
What year? If it has a 4.5 or a 4.9l engine, then it will last 300,000+ miles. They're very good engines.
Modern American made engines can run several hundred thousand miles if properly maintained. Follow the manufacturers specifications and use high quality lubricants, coolants and replacement components and your Buick and other American cars will last a long time.
depends on how you drive them and take care of them. you should be able to get 500,000 miles fairly easily
With proper maintenance, most engines mfg. now should last between 150,000 - 200,000 miles without major overhaul
With proper maintenance (and sometimes even without proper maintenance) they have been known to run well over 200,000 miles.
20 to 30 years
While I cannot answer definitively, I can say that my 95 Country has its original 4.0, is nearing 300,000 miles, and is still running well.
It varies, depending on driving habits, conditions, maintenance, and how frequently the car is driven. You can drive one off the lot and if you drive it hard without breaking it in it won't last 10,000 miles. If the car is well maintained, driven easily, not modified, and not left to sit for long enough to dry out the seals, the engine may last as long as 200,000 miles.
I have 120,000 on my van and it is still going great...I wish I knew how long these engines will last...
It depends on how you take care of you motor Many newer vehicles have well built engines you can expect to get at least 150,000 miles or more out of. Diesel engines tend to outlast these and some even have 500,000 or more miles on them. The first answer was also correct; keeping up on the required maintenance will help an engine last much longer than a neglected engine.
It can last as long as a new one. 100,000 to 200,000 milesIt can last as long as a new one. 100,000 to 200,000 miles
