The Bible is divided into the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament can be viewed several different ways:
1. Jesus referred to it as "The Law and the Prophets".
2. Classically it is divided into:
a. The Pentateuch (The Law)
b. The Historical Books
c. The Wisdom Books
d. The Prophets
The New Testament is used divided into:
1. The Gospels
2. The Acts of the Apostles
3. The Letters
which is subdivided into:
a. The Letters of Saint Paul
b. The Letters to all Christians
4. The Apocalypse or The Revelation to John

IV. The Canon of Scripture
120. It was by the apostolic Tradition that the church discerned which writings are to be included in the list of the sacred books. (Cf. Dei Verbum 8§ 3) This complete list is called the canon of Scripture. It includes 46 books for the Old Testament (45 if we count Jeremiah and Lamentations as one) and 27 for the New. (Cf. Denzinger-Schonmetzer, Enchiridion Symbolorum definitionum et declarationum de rebus fidei et morum{1965})
The Old Testament: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 and2 Samuel, 1 and 2 Kings, 1 and 2 Chronicles, Ezra and Nehemiah, Tobit, Judith, Ester, 1 and 2 Maccabees, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, the Song of Songs, Wisdom, Sirach (Ecclesiasticus), Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Baruch, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hose4a, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi.

The Douay-Rheims Bible contains 73 books, the same number found in the Catholic Bible. It is divided into the usual chapters and verses found in most Bibles, with a total of 1,189 chapters.
I recommend the Ignatius Catholic Bible, RSV Second Catholic Edition. Many Catholic scholars and theologians use this Bible and reference from it, however it is easy to read and understand
