Millions of people died during the black plague. It was one ot the most deadliest bacterial infections someone could have. It was traversed from fleas, that gave it to mice, that gave it to humans and caused death.

Out of a total of 75 million living in Europe, possibly 1/3 to 1/2 of the population died between 1347 and 1351. Italy was really hit hard because of their crowded cities. They lost about 50 or 60 percent of their population, according to my world history book. Hope that helps!
