Based on newspaper and online reports there are between 4000 to 6000 unemployed CPL pilots in India. Most of the recruitment is for experienced Airbus or other heavy jet Captains/Commanders. And thats why the airlines are hiring expats from other countries. Also more pilots in training are joining ranks everyday. Very few get lucky and have jobs...but do you want to spend 50-75lakhs $150k+ and depend on luck. My advise stay away from pilot training....spend a 10th of that and get a degree in IT, Medical or an MBA and have a stable job on the ground. Trust me I spent a lot of money and went through 2 school bankruptcies in the USA and i gave up. Any questions email me at acepilot400050@Yahoo.com .
