I have a 1994 Camaro z28 and from what I've read these lt1's take between 4.5-5 quarts of oil with an empty oil filter.

if it's the same as a 95 lt1 engine and you drained and dropped the pan and replaced the gasket and filter, then it is 4 and a half.

The GM F Body LT1 cars got the 2 bolt mains. Only the Corvette LT1 got the 4 bolt mains with aluminum heads.

There was no Camaro LT1 "SS" in 1995, but the stock LT1 (assuming you were referring to horsepower) had 275 hp.
