There are too many to count. Each region has a distinct dialect but provinces, towns and villages will have variations from each other. Certain words will exist in one town's dialect that a neighboring town will not use.

Among the most well known dialects are the Neopolitan, Venetian, Sicilian, Tuscan and Pugliese. Some of these dialects have their own wikipedias where articles are written in that dialect.
