There is thought to be over two million different species of animals in the amazon rainforest, with half of them being insects. Some of the animals are jaguars (which have been hunted to near extinction), Brazilian tapirs, parrots, piranha, and bull frogs. Jaguars, hunted for their beautiful coat patterns, are very elusive and shy. They will run at the first sound or sight of man. Piranha are thought to be the most aggressive fish in the world and a group of ten or twenty can devour a duck's carcuss in less than ten minutes because of their needle-sharp teeth. Parrots are commonly used in shows abroad and are known for their intelligence and ability to learn new actions. I hope this is enough information but if you need anything else, you can search it on Google. :)
