A female betta fish can lay up to a 400 eggs at a time - depending on the age and health of the fish- but only a few (5-30) of these are actually fertilized by the male. Once laid, the male pretty much takes over the "spawning" (care) until the baby bettas are born.
Beta fish were bread in Japan 1400 years ago for their aggression. To keep two beta fish in an aquarium you need a female and a male, which can usually be determined by fin length. An aquarium is needed that has a divided so that the two fish can see each other but not harm each other. Rearrange the aquarium at least once a week. After a period of time (depending on the individual fish) the divided can be taken out (the tank needs to be rearranged one last time) and the two fish will sometimes be able to live with each other and in expert hands even mate. The more live, or plastic plants in the tank the greater the success rate will be.
If this is to much work, then a single beta fish is all you can house in even the larger home aquariums.

yes
she doesn't give birth - she lays eggs. :o)
Guppies are not the only fish, that give birth. Almost every kind of fish gives birth. However, guppies are pretty easy to give birth. Other fish, such as betta fish, most tropical fish, and angelfish are rather hard to breed, because they are aggressive and will eat their own young. So, I suggest guppies if you want to breed fish.
yes what about the betta fish and mirror?? will it flare or just ignore it?please give details
Fish did not give birth but only lay eggs
All (female) fish give birth.
You can try to put Guppy fish in with your Betta fish. That would be one of the only fish that i would put in with my Betta fish. I say that because i have a Betta male and he is OKAY with guppies. the first guppy i put in his died to to getting picked on by him but the others did not, so just give him another chance if you decide to get guppies. Hope i helped!
When your fighting fish is about to give birth, it will have a white extended belly.
I am not certain but here is some information it will probably die but this will usually happen when your male betta fish is caring for the eggs because the betta is scared it might do an accident and eat one of its eggs instead of the betta foods that you give it
Betta splendens do not get angry with people. If you think your Betta is angry with you it will be your guilty concience. I advise you to look after your fish well. Give it good food, good conditions and change its water regularly and thereby have no conscience pangs.
It takes around 3 - 4 weeks for a platy fish to give birth.
well you first need at least a one gallon fish bowl and fish gravel and plants and stuff for them to hide in. fish food, and give them every once in a wile betta fish treats for fat.
