when the president vetoes a bill, a 2/3 vote is required where 2/3 or higher senators vote for the bill to become a law.
It takes 218 votes to pass a bill if everyone votes. There are 435 representatives and a majority ( one more than half) of those voting is required to pass a bill.
Actually, there are a limited amount of people in the Senate. Anyway, the bill is passed when there are more votes to pass the bill EX: 60 wants bill, 25 doesn't
If Congress has enough votes, they do not need the President's approval.
