Franklin Roosevelt's Term as Governor of New York State lasted from 1928-1932.

List of FDR's terms in political office:

# 1910-1912: Began his political career with a term of service in the New York Senate. # 1913-1920: Served as President Wilson's Assistant Secretary of the Navy under Secretary Joseph Daniels. # In 1920 FDR was nominated by the Democratic National Convention to run as Vice-Presidential Candidate on with presidential candidate Governor James M. Cox of Ohio. However the Cox-Roosevelt ticket was very heavily defeated by Warren Harding. # 1928-1932: Governor of NY (as stated above) # 1932-April 12, 1945: Served four consecutive terms as President of the United States, his fourth term seeing him die in office on April 12, 1945. He died of a cerebral hemorrhage at Warm Springs Georgia. He is buried in the rose garden at Springwood, his estate in Hyde Park NY, along with his wife Eleanor.
