I was looking at the 1997 Lincoln Continental Owner Guide and the engine
cooling system capacity ( including the heater ) is ( 14.25 quarts / 13.5 liters )
So , if you have a 50 / 50 mix of antifreeze and preferably distilled water
You would need ( 7.125 quarts / 6.75 liters ) of antifreeze
25 gallons like the 1978
To have a 50 / 50 mixture of antifreeze and preferably distilled water you would need ( 7.5 liters / 7.9 quarts ) of antifreeze because according to the Owner Guide the cooling system capacity is 15.0 liters / 15.8 quarts Ford shows not to exceed 60 % antifreeze and not to drop below 40 % antifreeze in the cooling system
According to the Owner Guide the cooling system capacity is 15.8 quarts It came from the factory with a 50 / 50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water So , 7.9 quarts or slightly under ( 2 gallons ) of antifreeze
it hold two(2) gallons of 50/50 antifreeze total
In the trunk should be on the arms that hold the trunk up it is on a sticker.
Usually the keypad code is located in the trunk of your car right on the bars that hold your trunk open
2 gallons of coolant mixed 50% antifreeze and 50% distilled water is enough to fill the system.
The code is on a sticker on one of the arms that hold the trunk lid....Mine is on the right side. max h
A 2000 Lincoln Navigator came from the factory with a 50 / 50 mix of distilled water and GREEN color antifreeze ( meeting Ford specification ESE-M97B44-A ) WITHOUT auxiliary rear heat ( 12.75 U.S. quarts of antifreeze mixed with an equal amount of preferably distilled water ) WITH auxiliary rear heat ( 14.0 quarts of antifreeze , rounded up )
I couldn't find the answer for the 1997 but the ( 1999 ) Ford F-350 with a 7.3 liter diesel has an engine cooling system capacity of ( 32.75 quarts / 31.0 liters ) That includes the heater / engine coolant reservoir So , a 50 / 50 mix of antifreeze and preferably distilled water would take slightly over ( 16 quarts / 4 gallons of antifreeze )
About 2 gallons of a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water
it can hold up to 6 ounces
