For a 1999 Ford F-150 ,4.6 L V8 :
It came from the factory with a 50 / 50 mix of distilled water and GREEN
color antifreeze ( meeting Ford specification ESE-M97B44-A )
1 row radiator ( 10.3 U.S. quarts of antifreeze mixed with an equal amount of preferably distilled water )
2 row radiator ( 11.55 quarts of antifreeze )
* Ford states not to exceed 60% antifreeze or drop below 40 % antifreeze in the mixture
it hold two(2) gallons of 50/50 antifreeze total
i believe its 20 qts. That is correct. 10 quarts of antifreeze and 10 quarts of distilled water.
2LB. 12OZ.
a half ton
About 2 gallons of a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and water
it can hold up to 6 ounces
To have a 50 / 50 mixture of antifreeze and preferably distilled water you would need ( 7.5 liters / 7.9 quarts ) of antifreeze because according to the Owner Guide the cooling system capacity is 15.0 liters / 15.8 quarts Ford shows not to exceed 60 % antifreeze and not to drop below 40 % antifreeze in the cooling system
13 quarts
2 gallons
9.9 litres
2 gallons
Being an aircooled engine, the cooling medium is air .It does not need antifreeze
