Recommended for a healthy sustainable weight loss (no Jojo dieting!) is 500 calories deficit per day. so it should take around 3 months. If you are very obese, 1000 calories (one kg per week) is also possible.

Weight lost by a comination of a better diet AND exersize will be more sustainable:)
