In Ohio at least it varies by league because each league has a regulated amount that each school follows. the bigger leagues in the bigger divisions will usually pay more. also depends on the level (freshman, jv, or varsity). my dad has been working jr. high through jv and has been making between 35 and 45 per game. also, if you work alone they will usually pay you more or even double depending on the league's policy.

It depends on how much the school or their sport boosters are are willing to pay to guarantee a win. Up to $1000 for a big or important high school game is not unheard for a sly and experienced Ref who is on the take and willing to make all the calls in favor of the team paying out the money.
