The cost of an LS1 engine varies depending on the frame it is for and the place of purchase. As a rough guide a used engine can go from around $600 up to $4000 new.
There was no LS1 Corvette until 1997

Well depends on how much work you want to do. The engine will fit but the mounting locations are different because 98 was the first year of the LS1 in the Camaro. You are better off with an LS1 it is a much better engine anyways! Well depends on how much work you want to do. On a stock ls1 most kits limited to 10psi make around 400-500rwhp, 500-600hp at the engine.
ls6 engine 405hp ls1 engine 350hp
305-325 stock hp
Chevy LS1 459(automatic) 503(manual)
305 at the crank for camaro and trans am and 345 for the corvette
NO! ls1's did not go into the z28s until 1998
lt1 has about 295 stock at flywheel, ls1 has about 305
LS1 is a GM engine, Z/28 is (was) an option package on Camaros.
depends on which 350 a regular carburated 350 new would be like 3000 a regular fuel injected would be about the same. the the lt1 and ls1 would be about 4-5000
