It very much depends on which animals you wish to hunt, and in which country you wish to go. The bigger and more dangerous the animal the more you will pay. If you just wish to go to Africa to hunt plains game (antlope, and the like) you will pay around 3000-6000$. This does not include the trophy care of the animals, nor does it cover Air fare, tips, taxes and the like. The best thing to do would be you type in "African Safari" into Google and differant outfitters will be listed Most will include what animals they hunt and basic costs. You can also visit the web site of Safari Club International as they have some hunts listed.

To hunt dangerous game such as Lion, Lepoard, Elephant, or Cape Buffalo you will pay much much more. The money then goes to support conservation programs for the very same animals. The guide will help you find a trophy animal or in the cases of dangerous animals they will want you to shoot problem animals, like ones that are hurting people and live stock. This helps the local populations and it keeps them from taking the matters into their own hand and just killing every lion for miles around. Most countries in Africa today that haev wildlife it is because of the conservation dollars spend by hunters that pay for the anti-poaching patrols, and the nature preserves.
