- The hosting: This can be $4-6 a month or more. Paying for this is paying for a service to store your site online.
- The domain name: In other words, the URL where people will come to your site. That can cost about $10 a year; depends on whether it's a highly desired name or not.
- The design: Are you going to design it yourself? Do you have the tools and skill to do so? If not, you'll hire a web designer and that cost can vary depending on location and experience.
- The webmaster: Are you going to webmaster your site yourself? Then it's nice and free. If not, you will encounter monthly costs for upkeep.

But I created a free site with a (url).we.bs kind of domain. I used 50webs.com com to create my site. It took me like 30 minutes to create it.
Ofcourse, I'm not not gonna tell you how to make a free website because maybe you don't wanna know, since you're just asking for the cost.

∙ 10y agoIt can cost nothing to design a website if someone is able to use the coding tools required. If someone has to buy in the coding talent or uses a third party company to design it then it can easily cost several hundred pounds.

Here it is. open notepad or wordpad and save it but you have to save it without spaces and whatever you name it end it with ".html"
Then when you re-open it, right-click, open with wordpad or notepad, whichever you used before.
to start your website you need to know programing. you can use HTML, Purl, Css, Javascript and lots of others. I recommend HTML for beginners.
so to make a simple page with Html type this

Inside the title tags:

you put the title of the page. this will show at the top of the window, and on the tab.
In the head tags you put information you don't want to be seen on the page itself.
in the body tags you put what you want to be on the page. you will want to learn at least some Html to do this.

To put your page on the web, you need to get someone to host it or get the programing to do it yourself. NOTE: only do this if you have completed your website

The exact price of such just all depends. If you want to make a low-quality and slow-running website, then depending, it might not.

∙ 12y agoYou can MAKE a website for free by downloading Microsoft's virtual wed designer. I am not sure if it costs money to launch the page yet, I haven't gotten past the tourtorial the give you with it. It is a good program, you can make the page virtually, C#, or HTML to design it. I am still amazed that Microsoft is practically giving it away!

∙ 11y agoThat depends. There are sites avaliable that are free such as weebly. If you WANT to set up a website and pay for it you can check out elance.com. Elance is a website that is filled with freelance workers who you can pay to do things like create websites. Its actually what that site is great for. It can range anywhere from 50-200 dollars depending on the person and job.
