I send my 2011 Honda Pilot to replace the alternator and the belt and mechanics charge to me $600.00
In my case, it goes bad and costs about $335 to have my Honda delear replace it !!!!
Replace with Good Year Gatorback belt. Costs more but worth the money.
Means you need an oil change, tires rotated and your filters changed. It costs about $200.
Take it to a mechanic.... use a 12 mm extended ratchet to loosen the accessory belt tensioner (remove belt) Unbolt the alternator from the engine chassis and unplug the positive and negative terminals. New Alternator Costs about $200, New Starter Costs the Same.
The approximate cost of replacing an alternator on a 1996 Toyota Avalon depends on whether you do it yourself or have a shop replace it. The alternator costs around $125 and it would take about two hours of labor for a total of approximately $300 if a shop did it.
Most likely the thermocouple is bad. The thermocouple is the little tube that sits in the flame of the pilot light. Runs from the pilot light to the control valve. Very simple to replace. Costs about $6.
An alternator for such a car (for Example: Murano 06) Costs anywhere between $160-$220. Now of course if you take it to a shop they will charge for labor, so perhaps an additional $99 per hour.
The clock face plate will come off with a small screw deiver. The bulb is right there. It costs about $20.00.
The thermocouple is bad. The thermocouple it the small metal tube that sits in the flame of the pilot light. Has a copper colored wire from that to the bottom of the control. They are easy enough to replace, just unscrew from the control and usually pull out of a spring clip at the pilot light. Costs $6 or so.
ummm depends how well u want the sensor 2 be... premium costs about 2000...but the 1 that is most used is the Advanced OS....which costs about 2500-3000
it is internal. you can replace it if you know what you are doing, but it is easier to buy a whole new alternator Answer: BS. it is not easier to buy a new alternator. it's like 5 screws and a few nuts to take out a voltage regulator, and they cost 10 bucks. an alternator costs a lot more than that.
Usually an alternator only needs bearings, brushes and possibly diodes and regulator. Most people rebuilding an alternator replace all of them. If you haven't rebuilt one or helped someone rebuild one it can be a little trickey. Some require that you solder the diode plate, others need very precise assembly. Often a rebuild kit costs more than a rebuilt alternator.
