According to a recipe for "Cilantro Guacamole Baked Chicken" at familyoven.com, a bunch of cilantro is approximately 12 oz.
The rule of thumb is: 1 teaspoon dried herb = 1 tablespoon fresh herb
A mature coconut should yield about 12 oz of copra (coconut meat) after shelling and peeling off the brown backing. This is equivalent to about 4 oz dried coconut. Dried grated coconut runs about 4 oz to one cup lightly packed so a whole coconut will be about 1 cup of dried grated coconut. So if an Indian recipe calls for "1/2 dried coconut grated", figure about 2 oz of dried grated coconut or 6 oz of fresh.
That would be about a $1.20
about 1/8 oz

Yeast: The quantity of yeast recommended to raise 225g / 8 oz flour in a standard bread recipe is as follows: * 10g / 1/3 oz fresh yeast, or * 3.5g / 1/8 oz fast-action yeast = 1.5 teaspoons fast-action yeast or * 5g / 1/5 oz dried active yeast = 2 teaspoons dried active yeast Or you could use dried yeast instead! it isn't as firm and people say that it is much easier to use.
