Do you really want such a tiny tank? It may be much better to not waste your money and save for a while and get something less limited. You really must follow the basic rules of sucessfull fishkeeping if you want to keep any species of fish alive succesfully. The basic rules are . :- 1 inch of fish must have at least 1 gallon of water. :- Every tank must have a permanently running 'cycled' filter. :- Every tank must have at least 50% of its water replaced every week. The important thing to remember is that a tiny 'nominal 3 gallon' tank like this is only capable of holding at the most 2.5gallons of water which is not quite enough water for 1 Betta (Siamese fighter) or even 2 guppies.

It cost $1.34 per gallon.
They cost around $10-20 depending where you buy them and what features they have. I would recommend buying a bigger fish tank like a 10 Gallon. They are very cheap, about $10.00 maybe $12.00. A 10 Gallon will do better and make the fish happier. The only reason to get a smaller tank is if you don't have very much space. You and your fish will be happier with a 10 Gal though. Your fish will grow larger, be more healthy and live longer. The rule of thumb is 1 Gal for each inch of fish you have.
At $3.00/gallon, it will cost $72.

A betta fish would be much more suited to a 1 gallon tank than a 'variety'. You shouldn't keep much more than one fish per gallon anyway.
