Ask someone at the reference desk of your local public library for the Occupational Outlook Handbook. It lists all kinds of information you would need to know,(including the salary) of just about any occupation you can think of.
Or you can get it online here http://www.bls.gov/OCO/
It depends where you are. In Canada, a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing requires a Masters degree- therefore you must look at the union wages for teachers with Masters degrees where you are located. (There are also other job options, but I just know about the public school system.)
In BC, a teacher with a Masters degree is a class 6, and with no experience, makes in the high $50s, topping out just over $80 grand with 11 yrs experience. These numbers increase slightly year to year due to the union agreement with the government.
It may sound like a lot of money (or it may not), but remember that a Teacher of the Deaf has a minimum of usually 7 years of full time post-secondary; that's as much as a lawyer. Don't go into it for the money.
The average Special Education Teacher in the United States makes about $25,000 to $37,000 a year. (payscale, 2017)
Around $45-50,000 per year starting off and depending on education
