Use a wrench and pull down the tension pulley then just slide off starting w/AC
Begin by loosening the tensioner pulley on your 2000 VW. The serpentine belt will become loose when the tensioner pulley is loose. Remove the old serpentine belt and put the new serpentine belt on. Tighten the new serpentine belt with the tensioner pulley.

No, it will not perform as it should. The 92 is OBD1 & the 2000 is OBD2. The ECU will not function correctly on this engine.

u do not adjust belt tensioner if belt is loose, u need to replace belt as tensioner works automatically
