I am having my strut bushings and sway bar links replaced for $330 in northern IL. NOT at the dealer. They wanted $800.
The cost to replace a front strut rod bushing on a 1998 Nissan Maxima is between $50 and $150, for a person who does it on their own. The cost varies based on the part brand or kit bought.
You cannot replace just the bushings. You have to replace the whole control arm.
Front sway bar link bushings. Cost under $50, took about an hour to replace both sides.
There are many bushings on a front lower control arm. However, i have a 2003 honda accord and it only needs the big bushing to be replaced and many shops quoted me around $200-260. All shops required to have the alignment done at the same time and it should be around $50-70 so shop around. Good luck
I paid $900 for shocks/struts and bushings. I was told that was the "brother in law" discount.
How much does it cost to replace the upper and lower control arm bushings on a 1998 Chevrolet S-10? Upper control arm bushings are quoted at about 1.9 hours fro each side. However, if both are done then 3.5 hours total. Lower control arm bushings are 1.9 hours for one side and 3.4 hours for both sides. Just apply your shop's labor rate to the above hours. Note: Not all mechanics use the same book to estimate time for reapirs. This data is provided by Alldata. Mitchell Brothers could be different, as could the other services. Note 2: Upper control arm bushings are far easier to replace than lower control arm bushings because they are far more readily accessibly.
Need to know which bushings, there are many bushings in a vehicle.
