The Oldsmobile Alero has a capacity of 9.5 quarts of transmission oil. It is important to use Dexron III oil and not Mercon.
A 2000 Oldsmobile Alero V6 requires 6.8 quarts of Dexron III fluid.
To keep a car running its best, a person has to keep the fluid levels maintained. The 2000 Oldsmobile Alero uses 12 quarts of transmission fluid.Ê

You can't. It's a sealed transmission, and has no spout or dipstick. All service to the transmission should be done by a dealer.
It has a sealed tranny. No dipstick means you can't check it and it shouldn't leak or be low so take it to a shop!!!
There is no transmission fluid dipstick on 2000 Oldsmobile Alero. The process to check the fluid level is very tricky and my recommendation is to take it to the dealer to have it check and filled if needed. It was designed this way to prevent leaks. Take some money. This previous answer is correct i have a 2000 Alero and it does not have a tranny dipstick, its an automaic and they call this tranny a sealed for life set up, there is a filler cap to add fluid but to check it i suggest take it to dealer or try to see if u can see any fluid near the top of filler tube reservor. as long as u have no leaks from tranny it should not need fluid and if u think it does it wont need much as long as there are no leaks, TONY, Indpls, IN..
