How much transmission fluid is in a 2008 Toyota Tundra?

Believe it or not you can not check the transmission oil on a 2008 Tundra with a 5.7 leader engine. It is designed to go 100,000 miles before servicing and IT MUST BY DONE BY THE DEALER. it has to be brought up to a certain temperature and need a special tool to check it. Talk to a Toyota service manager if you don't believe me.

I had a conversation with a service manager and he said "You can't believe how many people drain the transmission and then can't figure out how to refill it and have to tow it back here to get it fixed."

Also look in your "Owners Manual" and you will not find anything on servicing the transmission by the owner.

Well apparently you're not much of a mechanic because I just drained and filled the Transmission Fluid 2008 tundra 5.7 liter.. you have to put it in gear and move the shifter around and then put more fluid in after you put around 3 quarts in, and the hole to.add fluid is just above the transmission pan...everyone told me I couldn't do it but it takes a little common sense...find the transmission pan...it has a drain bolt...and on the driver's side of the pan just above it is the 15/16 bolt and I actually used a big wrench instead of a socket because I couldn't find my big socket wrench at the time...youll want to put around the 3 quarts in fornl starters and then put the fill hole bolt back on and lift the back of the truck so the tires can spin and put in gear and out and back in several times and then add about another half quart and reoeat the steps above and then add the remainder of the 4th quart. This may not be exact but the mechanics want to entrap you and not tell anyone anything so I think my info is better than the previous unless you're just not the kind of person that can think for yourself ....
