This would depend on several factors: temperature of the room, humidity of the room, type of tree you have, soil medium it is planted in, etc. First off, you shouldn't be watering daily. Most trees do not like wet roots. They should be planted in a soil medium that drains well, and the pot should have several drain holes in the bottom. Rock should be placed in the bottom drain saucer that the pot can set upon. This will promote good drainage and allow good air circulation to the roots. Water only when the soil feels dry about an inch down in the soil. I would apply about a quart of luke-warm water. Just make sure you don't over flow the saucer under the pot, or you may ruin your floor!
